We only use raw, unfiltered, pure and local honey. Ours is pure and untreated. Nothing is added to or taken from it.
It is not heated above ambient temperature which makes it “raw” and unpasteurized.
This is not the honey you buy at grocery stores where it has been processed, over heated, ultra filtered withΒ added fillers.
Unfiltered honey means it still has all the pollen and “good stuff” still in it. ( See picture)Β People use unfiltered honey for their allergies all the time!
That said, you will see it has specks and hive particals in it.Β This keeps all the health benefiting vitamins and antibodies in the honey so that they are not killed off by over heating or filtering.
Why is my honey hardening or aka crystallizing? Raw honey will crystallize which is totally natural. A sure sign that it is pure and straight from the hive to you!
To keep liquid leave it somewhere at least 75 degrees f.
To return to liquid form just place your glass jar of honey in hot water, or even better, in direct sun light.
No need to refrigerate your honey and do not microwave it.
Unpasteurized honey- Do not give infants under one year honey.
